Last Friday night I attended the John Mellencamp concert at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA.  98% of the time I am proud to be an Iowan and appreciate the humility, work ethic, and the way we treat others as a great virtue of our state, I was proven wrong at the concert as John introduced John Edwards and brought him on stage some of the crowd started booing.  Come on people, we are better than that, clap or don't say anything, but BOOING,  and are we not trying to raise our next generation to appreciate people through our differences.  It was an embarrassment for Iowans!!!  WE ARE BETTER THAN THAT AND THE WAY MOST STATES WOULD TREAT PEOPLE, HAVE WE FORGOTTEN THE GOLDEN RULE....TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED?

I'm not condoning what Mellencamp did, but we have 1-2 minutes to spare in our lifetime that we are not viewed as disrespectful toward another human being.
